Een post-project dat zoekt naar verbinding. Het begon als een correspondentie tussen de twee BLOB-kunstenaars – Mariëlle Kleyn Winkel and Ulrike Scholtes – als poging om elkaar en de eigen artistieke praktijk ruimte te geven wanneer specifieke condities (zoals werk, gezin, zorgtaken, gezondheid, stress) de ruimte en tijd voor kunstenaarschap beperken. Elk luciferdoosje fungeert als een kleine ruimte voor het maken van kunst, het delen van alledaagse esthetiek en het creëren van gevoeligheid. Nu proberen we deze praktijk uit te breiden en andere makers (in de breedste zin van het woord) te betrekken.

“Giving space – from me to you” is a mail project that explores connectedness. It started as a correspondence between the two BLOB artists – Mariëlle Kleyn Winkel and Ulrike Scholtes – as an attempt to give each other and their own artistic practice space within conditions that limit the time and space they have for doing and making art (such as taking care of a new born, working full time or living within precarious and stressful conditions). Each match box functions as a tiny space for producing art, sharing fleeting aesthetic moments or producing sensitivities. Recently, they have been expanding the project to include other makers (in the widest sense of the word).

Hoe het werkt:

1. Je vult het formulier hieronder in.

2. Je krijgt binnenkort je eerste doosje ruimte in je brievenbus van een andere deelnemer.

3. Je maakt zelf een doosje voor een andere deelnemer (je krijgt van ons een lijst met adressen toegestuurd) en stuurt deze naar diegene toe. Zet wel eerst je doosje op de foto voor ons archief.

4. Je maakt nu deel uit van onze gemeenschap van ruimte gevers.

How it works: 

1. You fill out the form below.

2. You will soon receive your first tiny box of space from another participant.

3. You create a box for another participant (you will receive a list of addresses) and send it to them, after making a picture of the box for the archive. 

4. You are now part of the community of space givers.
